About El Rancho Escondido

Established in 1882, El Rancho Escondido is a privately owned ranch which showcases some of the most amazing mountain vistas in Texas.

Our accommodations comfortably sleeps 24 guests or 8 couples which includes a turn of the century adobe Main House with two bedrooms and sleeping porch with bunk beds, Guest House with three separate bedrooms and bathrooms attached to a large gathering room and the Bunkhouse with two bedrooms and bathrooms. The grounds of the headquarters offer a unique experience for a wedding ceremony or reception, corporate event or relaxing vacation. The arbor and garden area is lovely for hosting a bridal luncheon, dining or napping and our outdoor pool offers a respite from a long day of outdoor activities.

Our inclusive packages ensure that your stay is both personally and professionally managed. Whether you choose a destination wedding, corporate retreat, family vacation or gathering with friends, we feel confident that everyone will enjoy this rare ranch experience.

Rates for on site accommodations, a two night (minimum), include a continental breakfast of seasonal fruit, juices, and homemade breads. Ceremony site fee and set up/take down fees are based on your needs. Additional packages are also available to entertain your guests such as guided hikes, photography expeditions, skeet shooting, campfires on the rim, geology tours, and guided dune buggy tours.

The pool is an inviting oasis after a day of hiking or shopping in town so we have a few rules.  Children must have parent(s) accompany them while at the pool.  No children after 6 p.m. and no children in the Hot Tub.
